How the RAM 4×4 Pre-Filter Works
Inside the unit is a cassette system consisting of aluminium plates, a central shroud, and a dust collection bowl. The cassette contains either 16 or 30 axial cyclone tubes, each made up of a:

- Tube
- Mouthpiece
As air is drawn through the snorkel and pre-filter:
- The vortex generator creates a swirling airflow.
- Centrifugal force pushes dust particles toward the tube walls.
- Dust bypasses the mouthpiece and is expelled through a scavenge opening.
